In the spring of 2007, MIDnet and The Quilt began a collaborative project to collect case studies on the business models of research and education networks. The goals were to document the organizations that operate the networks, provide updated case studies for the SURA "Optical Cookbook" and to share the information with the research and education community. The information was collected via personal interviews with senior management. After documenting the interview material, each organization was given several opportunities to edit the information before the case study was posted to a password protected website. Case study information includes: * Organizational History As a result, members of the R&E community can review these case studies in their entirety, focus on specific aspects of an organization, explore a general snapshot of the case study information with the overview document, or find organizational contact information from participants in this project. We thank the participants for the time and effort they gave to this project to capture this information and make it available as a resource to the R&E community. An overview of the case studies can be found on this and The Quilt's website. Specific cases will be made available to the research and education community via a password protected website. If you are a member of the research and education community and would like access to the full text of the case studies, please contact MIDnet, Inc.
